Harrisburg Boulevard Sidewalks and Trees

The East End District has constructed new 6-10 foot wide sidewalks and installed pavers, cast stone street names, ramps, and more than 200 shade trees along Harrisburg Boulevard, home of the new East End light rail line.

Working alongside Metro on the East End Corridor, the District has also improved seven major intersections.

The City of Houston’s CIP improvements include new sidewalks on many arterial streets that provide access to Harrisburg and the new light rail. The cost of these improvements is $3.2 million. Improved Access to Light Rail
