Harrisburg Sidewalks Ribbon Cutting
Over 300 community members and elected officials helped GEEMD cut the ribbon on Harrisburg Boulevard at Lockwood. It was a “bring your own scissors” celebration, enhanced with KIPP Academy kindergarten and first grade students leading the Pledge, Ambassadors International Ballet Folklorico, Austin High School Band, Drill Team, and ROTC, and the Houston Dynamo Mascot and Cheerleaders. Thanks to CVS for letting us use their parking lot, and to McDonald’s on Harrisburg for hundreds of delicious breakfast tacos. Photos are by Laurie Perez.
